The crew is coming today to blast the plaster off. They will be tenting the pool and using high pressure water. Is it wrong that I am excited about seeing the equipment and the process?
T Bird goes to the mechanic today. It is having issues with the transmission not wanting to go into gear. Interior restoration is being delayed for mechanical work.
I think my mechanic celebrates when I tell him one of my projects is coming.

Nah. That’ll be fun watching the pool get cleaned.
It’ll be like when you get a new pressure washer and start blasting the moss and growth on the outdoor furniture or cleaning the driveway, only on a larger scale.
I’m surprised you haven’t had a go with the pressure washer in the d rained pool.
This is what we'll show whenever you publish anything on Kinja:

I don’t know how replacing the plaster with a glass tile Sunchaser mural will effect the homes resale value, but we’re all on board.
Sucks the tbird joy was so short lived. Hope they get you sorted quickly and painlessly.

My favorite birthday, to this day, was my 4th birthday. On that day the septic tank overflowed and my folks had to have the honey sucker come out and pump it. Forget presents, do you know how awesome it was to have a giant truck with a giant pump come out and drive all over the yard and make a ton of noise? Best Birthday Party Ever!

Agreed, pressure washers are highly undervalued. I’d own one even if I lived in an apartment

I’ve been considering getting a portable pressure washer.
Like a Karcher OC3 Portable Cleaner.
or a Karcher K HB 5 Multi Jet washer

Those are very cool, I’m old school and use a gas powered was her. I bought a Subaru pressure washer (because car guy) and it was shit, returned it and got an electric start Yamaha from Costco, love it! Also, never use ethanol in small engines, I downloaded an app called Pure Gas, shows where you can buy pure regular gasoline.

I’ve just got two electric Karcher pressure washers.
They do the job wonderfully, they are small enough to throw in the boot and take elsewhere.

“Is it wrong that I am excited about seeing the equipment and the process?”
Nope! Not wrong at all.

Now that right there is an over educated middle class man engaging in sock doping with as many status symbols in the frame as currently deemed acceptable.

Sounds like the right kind of mechanic

At least you have a pool.
Quote for me was 40k for a puddle and 80k with an infinity edge.

I’d rather just the mini pressure washer, primarily for blasting the narrow gaps, rinsing the car and cleaning the wheels for when I didn’t want to/couldn’t get to a hosepipe.
As for status, I’ve a mid range small engined more power than adequate Skoda Superb. Lol.

I see a picture of a guy ruining all the bearings and suspension bushings in a fancy bike that I guess got dirty somehow, but the rider is immaculately clean.

I just want the washer, not the lifestyle, fake or otherwise.
I used to be into cycling in my youth, now, not so much (at all), my body is no longer designed for it.

For car detailing and assorted other duties these are amazing advances anyone would welcome.
